Around the farm

There's usually plenty of space for children to play football or cricket, and grass or stubble fields where dogs can be exercised. Children are welcome to assist with feeding our cows and chickens each morning, and collecting eggs later in the day. In late summer, visitors can see how the barley harvest is done.

Our farm trail and its leaflet are designed to show visitors most of the farm's fields, and a short walk will take you to our main wildlife pond.

Depending on the time of year, this attracts mallard, little grebe, Canada geese, shelduck, teal, swallows and swifts, moorhen, heron, warblers,
buzzards, kestrels and occasionally visiting swans, and these can be observed from our hide, "Leisure Centre II".

Up in the farmyard, in spring, you may have a grandstand view of our nesting barn owls as they feed their young.
